Sanford Housing Authority Responds Swiftly to Incident at Harris Court 

Sanford, NC - The Sanford Housing Authority (SHA) is addressing an incident involving gunfire that occurred in the Harris Court neighborhood at units # 911, 913, 915, and 917 earlier today. Thanks to the Tsunami camera system, the incident was identified in real time, allowing for an immediate and coordinated response. 

SHA Public Safety Officer Mr. Jeffery Gorley responded promptly and worked closely with the Sanford Police Department, who arrived on scene quickly and secured the area. While shots were fired, no residents or staff were injured, and there is no ongoing threat to the community.

The Sanford Police Department is actively investigating the incident and is reviewing footage from the Tsunami camera system as part of that process. 

This incident highlights the importance of SHA's ongoing investment in public safety technology and partnerships with local law enforcement. The real-time camera system played a critical role in ensuring a fast response and maintaining the safety of residents.
