Sanford Housing Authority Provides Incident Update Following Operation Clean Up at Harris Court
Sanford, NC - January 30, 20026 - The Sanford Housing Authority (SHA) is providing an important public safety update regarding ongoing enforcement activity at the Harris Court community as part of Operation Clean Up, an initiative focused on strengthening safety, accountability, and quality of life for residents.
Through the leadership of SHA Public Safety Manager Jeffrey Gorley, and with the continued support of the Authority's enhanced security efforts, including the implementation of the Tsunami camera system, law enforcement has launched a major coordinated operation targeting suspected drug-related activity on-site.
As of this afternoon, multiple agencies are actively engaged in a joint enforcement action at Apartment #923, including:
- Sanford Police Department
- Narcotics Unit
- And other agencies involved.
Initial reports confirm that approximately 15 individuals have been detained, and authorities are currently assessing four vehicles believed to be connected to suspected criminal activity at the location.

SHA emphasizes that this enforcement action represents a significant step forward in ongoing efforts to address criminal activity and reinforce community safety throughout Harris Court and all SHA neighborhoods.
