FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Jeffrey C. Gorley Appointed to Lead 2026 Faith & Blue Initiative in Sanford 

Sanford, NC (January 15, 2026) - The National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE), Eastern North Carolina (ENC) Chapter, has announced the appointment of Jeffrey C. Gorley to lead the October 2026 Faith & Blue Initiativein the City of Sanford. 
The announcement was made by Phyllis U. Wade, President of the NOBLE ENC Chapter, in collaboration with the organization's Community Outreach Committee. 


Faith & Blue is a national initiative that brings together law enforcement agencies, faith leaders, and community organizations to foster trust, understanding, and collaborative engagement. The multi-day initiative will include prayer services, community forums, and outreach activities involving law enforcement officers and community partners from across Eastern North Carolina. 


Mr. Gorley currently serves as Public Safety Manager for the Sanford Housing Authority, where he oversees safety initiatives and community-based partnerships. Under his leadership, the Sanford Housing Authority will serve as a co-host for several Faith & Blue events, reinforcing its commitment to public safety, resident engagement, and community trust. 


The ENC Chapter noted that this will be its first Faith & Blue Initiative hosted in the City of Sanford, with participation opportunities extended to communities throughout Lee County, Wake County, and other jurisdictions within the chapter's coverage area. 
"I am truly honored and excited to lead such an outstanding collaboration that strengthens relationships between law enforcement and the communities we serve," Mr. Gorley said. 

Durham Police Department Lieutenant Quincey Tait, Chair of the NOBLE ENC Community Outreach Committee, expressed confidence in Mr. Gorley's leadership. 

"I look forward to working closely with Mr. Gorley to develop an outstanding and meaningful program for the community," Tait said. 
Mr. Gorley brings a long history of community engagement, cross-sector collaboration, and partnership development among law enforcement agencies, faith-based organizations, and local stakeholders. His leadership is expected to play a key role in the success of the 2026 initiative. 
In addition to this appointment, Mr. Gorley was recently inducted into the Rotary Club of Sanford, further underscoring his commitment to civic service, leadership, and community partnership.
