Job Information | Position Summary: This position will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The Controller is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of all finance, accounting, and reporting activities of the Sanford Housing Authority (SHA) and its affiliates. The Controller assists the CFO with leading the overall accounting, finance, cash management, and operations strategy and has functional responsibility for standard operating procedures (SOPs). The Controller will ensure that business systems, policies, and SOPs are in place to support effective program implementation and provide strong internal controls. This position involves ensuring maximum utilization of program funds using best practice budgetary controls and financial analysis. The Controller prepares reports for internal use analyzing the Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) Project-Based Voucher (PBV) and traditional PBV programs, Low-Income Housing Tax Housing Credit (LIHTC) programs, Choice Voucher (HCV) program, self-sufficiency, homeless, supportive housing, and other HUD program operating budgets. The position assists in developing financial models to evaluate cash flows, create pro forma financials, real estate market data, and test scenarios, and ensure the maximization of operational performance of affordable housing development opportunities.
